北师大版高中英语必修 4 Unit10 Lesson3 说课稿 Unit 10 Money Lesson3 Your Money
潢川高级中学:杨玉玲 Good morning, everyone.! It’s my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you. I have been ready to begin this lesson with five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure and blackboard design. First, let me talk about the teaching material.

Part 1 Teaching Material
The content of my lesson is Senior High English Module 4 Unit 10 Lesson3 Your Money and the title of the article is When less is more. This lesson is about money. By studying of this lesson , we’ll enable students to know how to use money and help students build up correct attitude towards consumption and the awareness of environment protection . At the same time, let the students learn how to practice working out the meaning of important words from the context Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the Ss can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this unit. According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), and after studying the teaching material, I think the teaching aims are the followings: 1.Knowledge objects (1)The Ss can master the usage of the important words and expressions: soil, contain ,keep the balance of, point of view, etc. (2)The Ss can practice understanding specific information while reading (3)The Ss can understand the title of the article. 2.Ability objects (1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing ,especially reading and speaking abilities. (2) To guide Ss to set up effective studying strategies. (3) To train the Ss’ abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating . 3.Emotion or moral objects Students can build up correct attitude towards consumption and be aware that the environment should be protect. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’ learning background ,I will use the following methods .

Part 2 Teaching Methods
In this period, I’ will take some teaching methods to help the students understand and master the text, and further deepen and widen their thoughts .They are: 1. Elicitation method 2. Discussion and cooperation 3. Task-based teaching 4. Conclusion

Part 3 Studying Methods:
As for the learning methods, the students are poor in cooperative learning skills. Some students are not active in the class ,and some students don’t like English. Therefore , I ’ll have Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, thinking etc. And make preparation for completing the new study task. After feeling and understanding the language points, let Ss get the

knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study. In a word, we’ll 1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners. 2. .Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.

Part 4 Teaching Procedure
Step 1. Lead-in. I will show the students 5 yuan and ask Ss how much pocket money they can get from their parents each month. The purpose of my design is to catch Ss’ attention about the class. Step 2. Pre-reading I will ask Ss to talk to each other in pairs about the following question: What things do you like to spend money on? What can you do with 5 yuan? After that I invite some Ss to talk about themselves. Then I will tell Ss this article is about 5 yuan and ask them to look at the title of the text and guess the meaning of it. Step 3. While-reading Task 1.Listening Ask Ss to listen to the text and get the general idea about it. Task 2. Skimming: Ss should read the text fast to match the topics provided with each paragraph. 1 What to do with 5 yuan 5 An example of success 3 Who can solve the problem 2 The problem with land 4 How to solve the problem Task 3. Scanning: Guide Ss to read the text carefully and take some important notes, then answer the questions in Ex4. Answers: 1.the Yellow River 2.Shanxi Province 3.Plant trees 4.It can buy a tree, which helps prevent erosion. 5.The Jiuchengong Valley in Inner Mongolia. Task 4. Third Reading Ss read the text again and need find the words that have the same meanings in Ex 3. Answers: 1.approximately 2.crops 3.erosion 4.puzzled 5.view 6.contain 7.soil 8.remove Purpose of my design: Enable students to understand the given material better by using different reading skills. And proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning. “Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained. Step 4. Post-reading Ask Ss to discuss the meaning of the title :When less is more(Less money More benefit). Ss talk about: Think about the local environment you live in.What can you and your friends do to improve it? Purpose of my design: I think if the Ss can finish this task well, they will benefit a lot in their spoken English. Step 5. Homework

1.Read the text and review the new words. 2.Do Ex.6 Word Corner on page 59. Purpose of my design: Homework is so important and necessary for Ss to master the knowledge they learned after class. It will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims.

Part 5 Blackboard Design.
